After spending some time settling into our room and gaining our bearings around the hotel we decided to head out and find some dinner. We were discovering that finding a choice of places to eat close to the hotel was not an easy feat. Let's just say Kowloon does not seem to have a cafe lifestyle!!! Not far away on Nathan Road we found TGI Fridays - an American style diner - not quite what we were looking for but it had a kids menu and nice view. Have to say the food was delicious and the service was great.
When we had finished dinner we went for a walk around the Nathan Road area to see if we could scout out places for breakfast. Night time is certainly when all the locals are out and about as there were people everywhere. Ryan struggled with the cigarette smoke but on the whole it was a nice walk.
We arrived back in the hotel just in time to prepare our cameras for the Laser Light Spectacular. Our hotel room was in prime position. Many of the buildings across the Victoria Harbour had already switched on their neon signs and some basic coloured lights. Just looking at the view and watching the fast flowing traffic below was interesting. After a bit of hard work we eventually managed to tune the radio in to the English speaking channel that narrates the Laser Light Spectacular. When the laser lights begin they are set to music Sky Show style. The sky was reasonably clear so we had a good view. The show was beautiful to watch. What a wonderful way to finish the day!!!!
Magnificent is the only word for it. What a perfect end to a full and busy (and wet) day. You are all having a brilliant time and the good part of the holiday is yet to come. Boys sound like they are having a ball and roller coasters seem to be the ride of choice. Keep blogging and keep having a wonderful time. How long can blogs get? You will be able to write a large book when you return. Cheers and all the best for the next stage
